Marc Forrest joins the coaching staff of one of the most famous Spanish professional Futsal clubs, Peñíscola FS, partner club of Villarreal CF based in the province of Castellón. The club officially announced his appointment today.
Peñíscola FS play in the LNFS second division (RFEF 2a) co mpeting to gain promotion after eight years in the premier division currently in third position. The Peñíscola FS squad is made up of players from Argentina, Spain and Brazil including senior and age-group internationals.
Marc will be First Team Technical Analyst to Head Coach, Santi Valladares; formerly coach of Unión Africa Ceutí, Lobelle de Santiago and Santiago Futsal who previously played in the first division.
Forrest for the best part of a decade has established himself as one of the countries most respected coaches achieving successes at national league and university level in England. In addition to his role as an FA Tutor, his England National Team coaching role and most recently within Premier League club, Norwich City FC.
It is a significant moment for English Futsal for an English coach to be working within one of the top leagues in the world earning the opportunity that will no doubt be invaluable for England in the future whilst increasing the credibility and reputation of Futsal in the UK.
