The U.S. Women’s Futsal National Team has started its first invitation-only Identification Training Camp which kicked off yesterday and will run until the 26 March at the COPA Training Center in Walnut Creek, California.

Inaugural Futsal WNT head coach Marcia Tafarel has invited 12 Select Identification players to the debut international ID camp, which will also include 16 Invitation ID players who will also be looking to impress for future consideration. The Select ID players are generally east coast based for this camp in the west, and an ID Camp in the East will take place later in the year with Select ID players mostly coming in from the west.

U.S. Soccer will stage a series of Identification camps this year to build the team’s player pool, with an eye on its first international competition taking place sometime in 2024.
