When the season started, his new club were seen as underdogs due to their smaller budget and squad size compared to their league rivals. However, Liam and his teammates rose to the challenge and defied their critics, winning their league with one game left of the season as second placed Futsal Askl lost today 11-6 to Corinaldo.

Next Saturday, C.U.S Ancona will finish their league season against Russi and will be presented with their league title cup. Although, Liam will miss the game due to injury and suspension, he will celebrate promotion to the A2 division with his teammates, proud of his contribution on the court as a defender but also because he scored 25 goals in 21 games. The club have also made their own club history within Italian futsal as the Serie A2 next season will be the highest they have played in the Futsal pyramid in their history.

On the 30th of April, the next step in their season is the Last 8 of the Coppa Italia Serie B v Aquile Molfetta from Group G. The other fixtures are Sporting Altamarca v Benevento, EUR Massimo v Catanzaro, and  Modena Cavezzo v tbc.  C.U.S Ancona will consider themselves underdogs in this competition, but can they surprise everyone again and finish their season as the Divisions Cup champions.
